1. 209 Chase against Australia

India's highest run chase in T20Is is 209 runs. This match took place between India and Australia on 23 November 2023 in Visakhapatnam.

Batting first, Australia scored a huge score of 208 runs for 3 wickets. The Indian team had a hot & cold start but after the fall of 2 wickets, India handled the situation very well and successfully achieved the target of 209.

Suryakumar Yadav scored 80 runs in just 42 balls, leading the chase alongside Ishan Kishan who scored 58 runs. Rinku Singh scored a quick-fire 22 runs and hit a match-winning six on the last delivery to win the match for India.

2. 208 Chase against West Indies

India's 2nd highest run chase in t20i is the target of 208 runs. It was chased by the Men in Blues in 2019 against West Indies.

West Indies batted first and scored 207 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. West Indies' batsman Shimron Hetmyer scored 56 runs, Kieron Pollard scored 37 runs, and opener Evin Lewis scored 40 runs.

Chasing the huge target, the Indian team made a great start and chased the target within 18.4 overs with the loss of 4 wickets. Indian batsman and then captain Virat Kohli scored 94 runs in just 50 balls, while opener KL Rahul scored 62 runs in just 40 balls.

3. 207 Chase against Sri Lanka

The third highest score chased by the Indian team in T20Is is 207 runs. Batting first, the Sri Lankan team scored 206 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. Kumar Sangakkara scored 59 runs while Chintakka Jaisinghe scored 38 runs and Sanath Jayasuriya scored 31 runs.

Chasing the target, the Indian team scored 211 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 19.1 overs and won the match by 6 wickets. Yuvraj Singh led the chase by scoring 60 runs in just 25 balls while Virender Sehwag scored 64 runs, and Dhoni played a valuable knock of 46 runs.

4. 204 Chase against New Zealand

The Indian team successfully chased down the target of 204 against New Zealand at the Auckland ground on 24 January 2020. this is the 4th highest run chase by India in T20Is.

Batting first, the Kiwis scored 203 runs for 5 wickets. Colin Munro scored 59 runs, Ross Tyler scored 54 runs, and Kane Williamson scored 51 runs. Opener Martin Guptill scored 30 runs to give a good start.

Chasing the target, the Indian team scored 204 runs in 19 overs for the loss of just 4 wickets and won the match by 6 wickets. Shreyas Iyer scored 58 runs in just 29 balls while KL Rahul scored 56 runs in just 27 balls. Virat Kohli also contributed by scoring 45 runs.

5. 202 Chase against Australia | 2013

This is the 5th highest run chase by the Indian team in T20Is. Australia scored 201 runs for the loss of 7 wickets and set a target of 202 runs for the Indian team at Rajkot on 10 October 2013. Aaron Finch scored 89 runs to help Australia reach the total.

The Indian team scored 202 runs, losing only 4 wickets, and won the match by 6 wickets with 2 balls to spare. Indian batsman Yuvraj Singh led the chase by scoring 77 runs in just 35 balls while opener Shikhar Dhawan scored 32 runs.
