INDW vs AUSW: "Stadium full, tickets over," DY Patil's banner is the prove how women cricket in India is growing

The second T20I between India Women and Australia Women, which was scheduled to be played at DY Patil Cricket Stadium, is declared houseful just before the match starts. Fans from all over the country came to witness the action live from the ground. Previously, BCCI decided to give away free tickets and as a result, the fans filled up the stadium on Sunday, December 11.

The Women in Blue are trailing 1-0 in the series with a 9 wickets loss in the opening encounter of the five-match T20I series. The remaining three games are scheduled to be played at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.

The Stadium Authority announced that all of the tickets have been sold and the stadium is fully packed. However, many fans weren't able to collect tickets as the stadium went houseful.

It's a clear sign that women's cricket is improving and getting a huge fanbase. Women's cricket is growing all over the world and as a result, the fans of the Indian cricket team filled up the stadium.

In the first game, Deepti and Richa both scored 36 runs which eventually helped the hosts to put a total of 172 on the board. However, a brilliant partnership between Mooney and Tahlia helped the visitors to chase down the target within just 18.1 overs.

The Women in Blue is currently playing in the second T20I which is currently happening in DY Patil. In the match, India Women won the toss and decided to bowl first against the Aussies.
