ICC has nominated Indian cricket team's fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah for the 'ICC Player of the Month' for the month of October. Apart from him, ICC has also nominated Rachin Ravindra of New Zealand cricket team and South African batsman Quinton de Kock for this award. These three players had amazing performance so far in the ODI World Cup 2023.

Quinton de Kock scores 431 runs in the month of October

South African opening batsman Quinton de Kock had scored 431 runs in the month of October. During this period he had scored 3 brilliant centuries. He scored centuries in South Africa's first two matches against Sri Lanka cricket team and Australia cricket team. After this, he scored 174 runs against Bangladesh cricket team at Wankhede Stadium. de Kock also took 10 catches in the month of October.

The South African opening batter has already announced his retirement from ODI cricket at the end of the Cricket World Cup, but his impact remained as significant as ever during the Proteas' impressive start to CWC23 in October.

Jasprit Bumrah picks 15 wickets

On the other hand, Indian pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah has been nominated for ICC Player of the Month after an excellent start to the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 campaign in which he has picked 15 wickets so far.

Bumrah started his World Cup campaign with an impressive two for 35 against Australia at Chennai, before blitzing Afghanistan with four wickets for 39 runs in Delhi. This continued in spectacular fashion, with the seamer taking two for 19 in a Player of the Match display against rivals Pakistan in Ahmedabad which included the prized wicket of Mohammad Rizwan with a brilliant slower ball.

Rachin Ravindra plays only 12 ODIs prior to the start of the World Cup

At the same time, New Zealand all-rounder Rachin Ravindra is the third player on the list of the ICC Player of the Month who has impressed in his first ever World Cup appearance with centuries against England and Australia.

Having played in only 12 ODIs prior to the start of the tournament, it can be said that Ravindra's lightning start to CWC23 took some by surprise, but the 23-year-old immediately grabbed the headlines with 123 in 96 balls as New Zealand secured a nine-wicket opening day victory over defending champions England. India Women vs South Africa Women Match Prediction

India and South Africa are expected to put their best foot forward in the upcoming clash of the Women’s World Cup 2025, as both teams look to gain an advantage early in the tournament. Both teams are likely to rely on their key players to deliver, but the match could depend on how well the top and middle order batters handle pressure and the bowlers control the middle overs.

Given the head-to-head record in ODIs and the last five meetings between the two sides, India will start as favourites to continue their winning streak. However, South Africa are expected to put up a good fight and could spring a surprise if their key batters fire and their bowlers execute disciplined plans, especially in the powerplay and middle order.

India Women vs Pakistan Women Match Prediction

India Women started the tournament as expected with a win over co-hosts Sri Lanka. They were given a bit of a challenge by their opponents, however. They are expected to perform better as a unit as the tournament progresses and should have more than enough for Pakistan.

Pakistan Women suffered a shock defeat in their opening match of the tournament. Bangladesh Women repeated the exploits from their maiden ODI World Cup in 2022 by handing them a 7-wicket defeat in Colombo. Sidra Amin and Fatima Sana will need to lead from the front if they are to immediately bounce back from their shock loss.
