Gujarat Titans won the toss & decided to bowl first. Jagadeesan & Gurbaz started the proceedings for Kolkata Knight Riders with the bat while Shami came into the bowl in the first over. KKR scored 16 runs in the first 2 overs but Shami picked up the wicket of Jagadeesan for 19 runs in the third over. Gurbaz started really well by scoring boundaries but Shami gave another blow in the fifth over. Gurbaz took responsibility on his hand and fought alone as the other batters failed big time to step up.
Joshua Little picked up the wicket of Venkatesh Iyer in the 11th over. It looked like Gurbaz and Iyer made a decent partnership but it was all Gurbaz who added runs to the scoresheet. Iyer only managed to score 11 runs after facing 14 deliveries while skipper Nitish Rana also failed to construct his inning and got dismissed for only 4 runs. Joshua Little was the bowler who got these 2 crucial wickets.
