On this day, former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh had done something with his bat which proved to be a milestone in the history of cricket. Yuvraj had made a special record of cricket by hitting 6 sixes in 6 balls of England fast bowler Stuart Broad's over during the T20 World Cup 2007. The special thing about this record is that till now it is recorded in his name only. He all over hit 12 sixes in this tournament. Besides, he also completed his 50 runs in 12 balls. This is the fastest fifty in the history of T20 International, which is still standing.
2. Virat Kohli (2022 Asia Cup)* | 11 sixes
Former Indian captain Virat Kohli comes in the second position of most 6s for India in a T20I tournament. Kohli scored 122 against Afghanistan in Asia Cup 2022. He finally scored his 71st century, scoring 122 runs in 61 balls with 12 fours and six sixes. This was Kohli's first century in T20 Internationals. Apart from that, he hit a total of 11 sixes in the tournament. In this tournament, he showed signs of returning to his familiar form which was missing for some time.
3. Virat Kohli (2014 T20WC) | 10 sixes
Virat Kohli played an important role in the 2014 T20 World Cup. Kohli was in good form in this World Cup. He was returning unbeaten after playing his role on most of the occasions. In the semi-final match, he had reached the wicket to bat in the fourth over itself. It was the responsibility of Virat to recover the team from the setback in the form of Rohit Sharma. Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan played brilliant innings in the 2018 Nidahas Trophy. The innings of 90 runs off just 49 balls against Sri Lanka is the biggest innings of Dhawan's T20 International career. He also hit a successive half-century against Bangladesh to ensure India crossed the finishing line. He hit a total of 10 sixes in this tournament.
