Guptill went past Rohit Sharma's record to become the player with the most runs in T20Is. He scored a 40 against the Scottish team to achieve the feat. Till now, Guptill has scored 3399 runs in 116 T20I matches. His strike rate of 136.39 at the top of the order makes him one of the blistering batters in the world. In addition, he also has two centuries against his name.

2. Rohit Sharma

The current Indian captain is the next on the list with 3379 runs in his record 128 T20I matches. Rohit has been playing T20 international since 2007 and has scored 4 tons as well in the shortest format of the game. The opener is one of the best when it comes to hitting sixes for fun and has a career strike rate of 139.62 at the top of the order for India.

3. Virat Kohli

The former Indian captain is third on the list of players with the most runs in T20I cricket. Although the right-handed batter has not had a great time in the last two years with the bat, he is still among the best in the world. Kohli, so far in 99 matches has scored 3308 runs with a strike rate of 137.66. He is the only player on the list to have a batting average of more than fifty (50.12). Also, he is the record holder of the highest individual score in T20I matches. He made the score against Zimbabwe in the third match of the 2018 T20 tri-series. He has made 2439 runs including 15 half-centuries and 2 centuries with an average of 37.52.
