Bangladesh played their third match of the tournament against Australia and Ricky Ponting and his men made it difficult for the Bangladesh team since the beginning of the match. Brett Lee came to bowl his second spell at the 17th over and changed the game entirely. Aftab Ahmed and Shakib Al Hasan were on the pitch and Shakib was on strike. The batters scored 5 runs from the first two balls and the game started changing from the third ball of the over. Lee picked up the first wicket by sending Shakib Al Hasan to the pavilion followed by Ashraf Murtaza and Alok Kapali.
