Atharva Taide scored 109 off 244 balls while Yash Rathod contributed 93 off 157 as Vidarbha ended day 1 on 261/3 in 86 overs against Karnataka in the Ranji Trophy 2023-24 Quarterfinal 1 at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Ground in Nagpur.
Vidhwath Kaverappa, Vasuki Koushik, and Hardik Raj registered one wicket each for Karnataka. At the close of play, Karun Nair remained not out on 30 and Akshay Wadkar on 2.

In Quarterfinal 2, Musheer Khan scored a century as Mumbai ended Day 1 against Baroda at 248/5 at the Sharad Pawar Cricket Academy BKC in Mumbai.
Openers Prithvi Shaw (33) and Bhupen Lalwani (19) cheaply gave away their wickets despite getting a solid start, but Musheer (128* off 216) led Mumbai to a brilliant total.
Skipper Ajinkya Rahane (3) lost his wicket early again, while Mulani was also dismissed for 6. Musheer remained not out and Hardik Tamore (30*) was the other man standing on the crease for Mumbai. For Baroda, Bhargav Bhatt claimed 4 wickets in his 29-over spell.
In the Ranji Trophy 2024 Quarterfinal 3 between Tamil Nadu and Saurashtra, Sai Kishore led from the front for Tamil Nadu with a terrific 32-over spell and scalped five crucial wickets. Saurashtra were bowled out for only 183 in 77.1 overs on Day 1 at the SNR College Cricket Ground in Coimbatore.
S Ajith Ram also claimed 3 wickets in 24 overs for Tamil Nadu. Saurashtra failed to put up a good total despite opener Harvik Desai scoring 83 off 185 balls. Tamil Nadu ended day 1 on 23/1 in 10 overs, trailing Saurashtra by 160 runs.

In Quarterfinal 4 of the Ranji Trophy 2024, Madhya Pradesh ended on 234/9 by Stumps on Day 1 against Andhra Pradesh at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore.
Opener Yash Dubey contributed with a valuable inning of 64 and Himanshu Mantri scored 49. Saransh Jain held his side with a mature and important knock of 41 but it wasn't enough. KV Sasikanth shined with 4/73 for Andhra while Nitish Reddy picked up 3 wickets.
