Surya Kumar Yadav led the side to the Wankhede Stadium against Nitish Rana’s Kolkata Knight Riders. He explained the reason behind Rohit’s absence. The stand-in MI skipper explained that the Hitman was out of the match due to a stomach bug. Kolkata Knight Riders tweeted Rohit’s absence in a hilarious way.

Mumbai Indians gave a tribute to WWE Legend Undertaker when he announced his retirement in 2020. WWE CEO and 14-time World Champion Triple H presented the franchise with a custom-made championship belt for their IPL 2017 win. Rohit Sharma did some photoshoots with that belt.
