The upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 is poised to witness a seismic clash between cricketing giants India and Pakistan, and fans worldwide are scrambling to secure tickets for the blockbuster match scheduled for June 9 at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York City.

The India-Pakistan fixture of T20 World Cup 2024 has shattered all expectations, with ticket sales soaring to unprecedented levels. After the public ballot opened with a seven-day window closing on February 7, the remaining tickets went on sale on Thursday, February 22. Remarkably, nine out of the 16 matches scheduled in the USA are already sold out.
Demand for tickets to witness the much-anticipated India-Pakistan clash has exceeded all projections, with ticket allocations oversubscribed by more than 200 times, according to the International Cricket Council (ICC). T20 World Cup 2024 USA chief executive Brett Jones expressed his delight at the overwhelming support for the tournament, emphasizing its potential to transform the landscape of cricket in the United States.
Jones remarked, "There is no data point like ticket sales to showcase the level of enthusiasm that's out there and we're thrilled with the support we're seeing. The 2024 T20 World Cup is going to fundamentally change the game of cricket in the U.S. and it's our job to capitalise on this moment,"
Tickets for the India-Pakistan encounter in New York are priced at $175 (INR 14,505) for standard seats, $300 (INR 28,866) for standard plus, and $400 (INR 33,155) for premium seating. Despite cricket's relatively lower popularity in the United States, organizers remain optimistic about the tournament's success, buoyed by the fervent support of South Asian fans.

Notably, the Nassau County Stadium, the venue for the India-Pakistan clash, will also host a warm-up game in late May, preceding its inaugural match on June 3 between South Africa and Sri Lanka. The stadium will subsequently witness thrilling encounters, including India vs. Ireland on June 5, Canada vs. Ireland on June 7, Netherlands vs. South Africa on June 8, culminating in the highly anticipated India-Pakistan showdown on June 9.
