Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal through a Facebook video message has announced that he is not going to participate in the upcoming T20 World Cup in Oman and UAE.
The participating teams in the T20 World Cup, to be jointly hosted by the United Arab Emirates and Oman in October-November this year, have to submit a 15-member squad and the list of eight coaching staffs by September 10.

"To the media, please no phone calls, no WhatsApp messages. I have taken my decision & I'll stick to it. I always do what I feel is right & this is what I've felt this time. I'll be available for other bilateral T20 series in the future. So see you all soon", "I didn't take part in the last 15-16 T20s, it won't be fair to come suddenly and take the place of the other who played well in those games"
