The ICC T20 World Cup 2024 concluded in the USA and West Indies following India's title clinch for the second time in their history. Team India beat South Africa by 7 runs to win the precious crown. England were the defending champions of the tournament. Now India become the second nation after West Indies and India to claim the crown for the second time. T20 Cricket World Cup 2024 Winner | Winner - India

Finally, after so many heartbreaks in the ICC Finals, the Indian Men's cricket team were able to win a major title. They won the T20 World Cup 2024 title beating South Africa by 7 runs in the final in Barbados. Batting first, India scored 176 runs with the help of Axar Patel (47) and Virat Kohli's (76) brilliance. South Africa were winning the game easily, with 30 needed from 30 balls. But, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya and Arshdeep Singh bowled brilliant overs to help India clinch the T20 World Cup for the second time in their history.

T20 Cricket World Cup 2022 Winner | Winner - England

England won the 2022 edition of the World Cup. The final was played between Pakistan and England. England won the title, beating Pakistan by 5 wickets. Pakistan scored 137 runs (137/8) in 20 overs and England completed the chase in 19 overs by 5 wickets (138/5). Virat Kohli was the top run scorer with 296 runs in 6 matches while Sri Lankan bowler, Wanindu Hasaranga was the most wicket-taker with 15 wickets in 8 games with 6.41 economy. 

T20 Cricket World Cup 2021 | Winner- Australia

The final of the T20 Cricket World Cup 2021 was played between Australia and New Zealand. Australia won the final against New Zealand by 8 wickets. This was the first time the Australian cricket team won the title. Mitchell Marsh from Australia became the player of the match in the final. 

T20 Cricket World Cup 2016 | Winner- West Indies

West Indies won the World Cup 2016 by beating England in the final. West Indies became the first team to win the T20 Cricket World Cup twice. West Indies lost only one match against Afghanistan on the way to lift the title. Earlier, West Indies became champions for the first time in the 2012 T20 World Cup. Virat Kohli won the Player of the Series award while Tamim Iqbal finished as the highest run-scorer.

T20 Cricket World Cup 2014 | Winner- Sri Lanka

In the T20 Cricket World Cup 2014, Sri Lanka defeated India in the final to become the champion. India reached the final of the World T20 for the second time but lost to Sri Lanka by 6 wickets. Virat Kohli was the top run-scorer and won the Player of the Series award in the ICC T20 Cricket World Cup 2014.

T20 Cricket World Cup 2012 | Winner- West Indies

West Indies won their first T20 Cricket World Cup title in 2012 by beating the hosts Sri Lanka in the summit clash by 36 runs. West Indies lost their first match of the World T20 2012 against Australia but still came out with the trophy. Shane Watson from Australia became both Player of the Series and top run-scorer while Ajantha Mendis from Sri Lanka was the highest wicket-taker bowler.

T20 Cricket World Cup 2010 | Winner- England

England became the Champions in the 2010 edition after beating Australia in the final by 7 wickets. The English team had lost to the West Indies in their first game, but they won all the following games and clinched the title. Kevin Pietersen won the Player of the Series award for his terrific performance with the bat.

T20 Cricket World Cup 2009 | Winner- Pakistan

After finishing as runners-up in the first T20 World Cup, Pakistan won their first T20 World Cup title in 2009. England hosted this tournament, and Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by 8 wickets in the final to become champions. Pakistan lost their first match against England and a Super 8 match against Sri Lanka. Still, they managed to win the trophy. Tillakaratne Dilshan from Sri Lanka won the Player of the Series award and was also the top run-scorer in this tournament.

T20 Cricket World Cup 2007 | Winner- India

The Indian cricket team was the first to win the inaugural T20 Cricket World Cup playing under the leadership of MS Dhoni. India defeated Pakistan in the final in dramatic fashion to clinch the title. India only lost one game in the tournament - against New Zealand in Super 8s but unexpectedly performed better overall. Shahid Afridi from Pakistan won the Player of the Series award.
