Yashasvi Jaiswal became only the third Indian to score 150 on test debut. He also became the 17th Indian to score a century on test debut. He didn’t just introduced himself in the format but also broke some rare records of this beautiful game. Jaiswal scored 171 runs as India declared their inning on 421 runs for 5 losses. India won the first test at Dominica by an inning and 141 runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal won the man of the match award for the beautiful inning he played. He just showcased his potential in front of the world. “Let’s see what the future holds for me, this is just the start,” Jaiswal said after winning the Man of the match award.

“It felt very nice getting the Player-of-the-Match award on debut. It’s been a long journey, feeling very happy and good about it,” said Jaiswal on his way to the hotel room. “Let’s see what the future holds for me, this is just the start. Pray to God that I continue playing like this, keep making (such) efforts and keep contributing for the team,” he added. “Thank you so much in the end. This will be a memorable moment for me. Thank you God, thank you guys for your love and support,” he concluded.

“We prepared pretty well. Spoke a lot to Rahul Dravid sir and learned from him. Would like to thank all the selectors and Rohit sir for having faith in me. It’s really nice, I have been working on this. Playing Test cricket for India is very special and emotional. This is just the start, I need to keep my focus and keep working on my cricket. Lots of people helped me through my journey and I want to thank each and every one of them,” Jaiswal said after receiving the Man of the Match award.

He thanked every seniors in the Indian team and his parents about how they helped him throughout his journey. After an impressive domestic season, he continued that run of form during the IPL also. Yashasvi didn’t go his hard work in vein and made his Test debut memorable for a long time.
