Apart from Travis Head, Australia's Glenn Maxwell was also nominated for ICC Player of the Month, and because he also performed brilliantly for Australia in this World Cup. Especially Maxwell had played such a double century innings against Afghanistan, which is seen once in centuries.

At the same time, the name of India's Mohammed Shami was also nominated by the ICC for Player of the Month, because this fast bowler started playing after the end of the first 4 World Cup matches, and finished the World Cup campaign with the most wickets.
