DC, RCB and GT need 2 wins
Both Delhi and Gujarat have played 8 matches each so far and have won 6 matches. In such a situation, they will have to win 2 out of the 6 matches left and only then can they make their place in the IPL 2025 playoffs. However, if they want to confirm their place, then they will have to win 3 matches.
Sit atop the table on 12 points from eight games and having the best NRR (+1.104), the Gujarat Titans appear well on track for qualification. Having Sai Sudharsan top the Orange and Prasidh Krishna at the top of the Purple Cap respectively, GT have made a much better comeback to the season.
They will play RR, SRH, MI, DC, LSG, and CSK in their upcoming games.
While the Axar Patel-led Delhi franchise is second with 12 points from eight games and a strong NRR of +0.657. Their upcoming challenges include games against LSG, RCB, KKR, SRH, PBKS, GT, and MI.
Bangalore has played 9 matches so far and has won 6 matches. They, too, possess 12 points, but they have played one more game than Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans. They have an NRR of +0.472.
Two victories in the next five games against DC, CSK, LSG, SRH, and KKR might just get them across the line.
PBKS, LSG and MI need 2 or 3 wins
Both Punjab Kings and Lucknow Super Giants are on 10 points, although their NRRs lag behind RCB. PBKS stand at +0.177 while LSG lag at +0.088. They need to try winning at least three of their remaining six matches, ideally with big margins.
PBKS have CSK, LSG, DC, MI, and RR ahead of them. LSG, on the other hand, have DC, MI, PBKS, RCB, GT, and SRH to play.
After a disastrous beginning, the Mumbai Indians have rebounded with three consecutive wins. With 10 points and a healthy NRR of +0.673, they will also have to win three out of six matches to remain in contention. Two wins might work for them, but then they will have to wait for others' results or NRR to qualify.
They will face SRH, LSG, RR, GT, PBKS, and DC.

The road is difficult for KKR, RR, SRH and CSK
If we talk about the Kolkata Knight Riders, they have played 8 matches and won 3. For them to reach the playoffs, they will have to win 5 out of their 6 matches at least, with six out of six giving them a better chance to qualify.
Their journey involves clashes against PBKS, DC, RR, CSK, SRH, and RCB.
The lower three teams of IPL 2025, RR, SRH, and CSK, all have only four points. Their chances of qualifying are low, and they have to win all their remaining games to have any hope. Negative NRRs only make their task more difficult.
After their defeat against RCB, Rajasthan are nearly out of the tournament. They have now lost five consecutive games. RR will face GT, MI, KKR, CSK, and PBKS
CSK will play SRH, PBKS, RCB, KKR, RR, and GT. SRH have to fight it out against MI, CSK, GT, DC, KKR, RCB, and LSG.
