Argentina's first match in the Copa America 2021 will be a blockbuster as they will face their neighbour Chile in Rio de Janeiro's Estadio Nilton Santos. Argentina vs Chile: Recent forms of both the teams

Argentina is coming from an unbeaten run since 2019. Though the Latin American team has not been able to win Copa America since 1993, almost thirty years ago. However, they had managed to play finals in between those thirty years.

Both the team played each other recently and the match had ended in a draw. A goal apiece from Lionel Messi and Alexis Sanchez made sure the match ended with a result 1-1. Lionel Scaloni has managed the Argentine team well since their exclusion from the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

However, a draw against Chile and Colombia (2-2) in 2021 made their year winless till now. However, with a pull of talent in their side, La Albiceleste will surely look to start off the tournament on a high note.

Emiliano Martinez's injury will be a concern for the Argentine team. The Aston Villa player might not be in the first eleven for the Chile match.

Franco Armani is still recovering from the Covid-19. Therefore he will be replaced by Agustin Marchesin as the goal-keeper. Lucas Ocampos will also miss the match due to injury.

The Argentine team includes stars like Papu, Angel Correa, Angel Di Maria and Sergio Aguero alongside the legend himself Lionel Messi, who will look to win his first international trophy with the team.

Till now Argentina has been a better side than then neighbours, Chile. In 93 matches between them, they have won 61 games.
