Manchester City lifted the Premier League title once again. This is their fourth league title in a row and no other club in England have ever won the league four times in a row before them. They created history by defeating West Ham United 3-1 at home in the last game of the season. Arsenal were right behind them and won their last game against Everton to collect 89 points after Matchday 38. Manchester City accumulated 91 points and won their ninth league title. Pep Guardiola's side were knocked out of the Champions League by Real Madrid in the Quarter-Finals but in the league, they remained untouchable and ultimately crowned as the 2023/24 Premier League Champions.
Serie A 2023-24 Champion: Inter Milan

Inter Milan secured its 20th Serie A title on April 22 by beating city rival AC Milan 2-1. Out of the 33 games that it took to win the league, Inter won 27, drew five, and lost one, against Sassuolo at home. After the departure of Antonio Conte in 2021, there was uncertainty in the club over the next manager beforeSimone Inzaghitook over. His side could not regain the league title in the 2021-22 season but won the Supercoppa Italiana and the Coppa Italia in his first season and finished the league in second place, two points behind the winner AC Milan. But, the management believed Inzaghi and the hard work paid off as they lifted the 2023/24 Serie A title.
La Liga 2023-24 Champion: Real Madrid

On 4 May 2024, Real Madrid were officially confirmed as champions with four matches to spare following Barcelona's 4–2 defeat to Girona, securing a record-extending 36th title. The Los Blancos leads the 2023-24 La Liga season with 93 points, with two games still to play. They have taken an unassailable lead of 14 points over their direct rival, Barcelona.
Real Madrid played exceptional football this whole season. Despite getting hit by lots of injuries, Carlo Ancelotti never looked under pressure. He handled the players brilliantly and dominated the opponents in both La Liga and the Champions League. They are in the final of the UCL and there is a huge possibility that they lift the title once again.
Ligue 1 2023-24 Champion: PSG

PSG crowned Ligue 1 champions for a record-extending 12th time. PSG were held to a surprise 3-3 draw against Le Havre on Saturday, and they had to rely on second-placed Monaco not winning if they were to be crowned champions this weekend. Monaco's loss left them on 59 points, 11 behind PSG's total of 70 points and the title went out of reach for the chasers with only three games left in the season.
The French giants are on their way to winning all the trophies available to them in Kylian Mbappé's final season at the club. The Parisian club have now won 10 of the past 13 championships since its takeover by the Qatari Sports Investment in 2011.
Bundesliga 2023-24 Champion: Bayer Leverkusen

Xabi Alonso's Bayer Leverkusen created history in the 2023/24 season as they went undefeated in the Bundesliga and clinched their maiden league title as well. They broke the longest-running unbeaten streak in European football history while breaking many more German records.
Bayer Leverkusen scored 89 goals in the 28 games and came back from losing the games on many occasions. In 34 games in the league, Bayer won 28 of them and drew only six times. Victor Boniface was their top scorer in the league with 14 goals while Alejandro Grimaldo was the top assist provider with 13 assists.

Full-time | Ajax 0-2 Inter
Last season's beaten finalists start in impressive fashion, Marcus Thuram heading both goals as Inter see off Ajax.
The Dutch side were unfortunate not to score when an excellent Yann Sommer denied Mika Godts' save before the opening goal, but Cristian Chivu's first experience of the UEFA Champions League as a coach produced a confident victory for the visitors.
Luis Enrique can’t have wished for much more. A swashbuckling attacking display that included four goals and a well-deserved clean sheet.
After a league phase campaign fraught with jeopardy last time round, Paris start their quest for a second consecutive Champions League crown in the most consummate of ways.
As for Atalanta, they toiled and stuck to their task, but will now focus on picking up their first points against Club Brugge in two weeks time.
Sep 17, 2025, 9:09 PM
Full time | Liverpool 3-2 Atletico
Liverpool found a way for a hard-fought three points in their league phase opener.
Atleti deserve huge credit for their response to falling 2-0 down. The hosts fashioned the better chances after the interval, with Mohamed Salah striking the post, but Marcos Llorente’s late volley was cancelled out by Virgil Van Dijk right at the end.
Sep 17, 2025, 7:53 PM
Half-time | Liverpool 2-1 Atletico Madrid
Liverpool could hardly have wished for a better start at Anfield after Andy Robertson’s fortuitous opener and Mohamed Salah’s fine effort, but Atleti have done well to gain a foothold and managed to half the deficit through Marcos Llorente on the stroke of half-time.
The hosts will need to hit the ground running in the second half, otherwise it might be back to square one for Arne Slot's team.
Sep 17, 2025, 7:53 PM
Half-time | Ajax 0- 1 Inter
After something of a shaky start, Ajax managed to find their way back into the game.
Ironically, they had the best chance of taking the lead – Yann Sommer saving expertly from Mika Godts – seconds before Marcus Thuram headed the visitors in front at the other end.
John Heitinga’s men will now have to commit more men forward in search of an equaliser, which could play into Inter’s hands.
Sep 17, 2025, 7:53 PM
Half-time | PSG 2-1 Atalanta
A consummate performance befitting of champions. Paris have started their European campaign in much the same vein they finished the last - in total control. In truth, Atalanta had done well to limit the hosts to Marquinhos’ close-range finish, with Marco Carnesecchi largely to thank, but Khvicha Kvaratskhelia eventually added a sumptuous second.
Bradley Barcola’s missed penalty is the only blemish, while Atalanta will be grateful for the half-time break.
Against Atletico Madrid, Andrew Robertson and Mohamed Salah have found the net for Liverpool within first 6 minutes of the match.
Sep 17, 2025, 7:08 PM
Full time: Praha 2-2 Bodo
What a contest we have witnessed! Both teams gave everything, competing all the way. Slavia earned a two-goal advantage thanks to a pair of strikes from Youssoupha Mbodji on his full debut, butBodø/Glimt displayed the character they so often showed during last season's run to the Europa League semi-finals thanks to substitutes Sondre Brunstad Fet and Daniel Bassi. A breathtaking evening, with both clubs showing why they play at this level.
Sep 17, 2025, 6:54 PM
Full time: Olympiacos 0-0 Pafos
Pafos make a memorable debut in the UEFA Champions League, taking a point despite having ten players for more than an hour. Olympiacos applied plenty of pressure around the opposition box but may feel their finishing could have been better, while the Cypriot club managed to disarm them and escape unscathed.
Up next, potentially greater hurdles for both sides: Olympiacos travel to London for their game against Arsenal, while Pafos play host to Bayern Munich.

Full-time: Real Madrid 2-1 Marseille
A pair of penalties from Kylian Mbappé helped Real Madrid turn a deficit into victory in Xabi Alonso's first Champions League game at the helm.
After withstanding early pressure from the hosts, Marseille struck first through Timothy Weah's emphatic finish, but Alonso's side were quickly level when Mbappé converted from the spot following a foul by Geoffrey Kondogbia on Rodrygo.
Although Madrid had Dani Carvajal sent off in the 72nd minute, Mbappé struck again with nine minutes left after Facundo Medina was penalised for handball.
Sep 17, 2025, 5:05 AM
Full time: Juventus 4-4 Dortmund
Borussia Dortmund and Juventus shared the spoils after an eight-goal thriller in Turin thatequalled the record for the highest-scoring Champions League draw.
Khéphren Thuram and Loïs Openda both went close for the hosts in the first half, before Karim Adeyemi’s 52nd-minute finish sparked the encounter into life.
Kenan Yıldız, Felix Nmecha and Dušan Vlahović all scored in a four-minute flurry before Yan Couto's powerful finish made it 3-2 to Dortmund.
The visitors looked to have sealed victory through Ramy Bensebaini's 85th-minute penalty, but Juventus rescued a draw in added time thanks to Dušan Vlahović's finish and a Lloyd Kelly header.
Sep 17, 2025, 4:58 AM
Full time: Benfica 2-3 Qarabag
Qarabağ claim a historic win here in Lisbon – and few can argue with the result. Benfica were 2-0 up after 16 minutes, but after Leandro Andrade’s goal, the Azerbaijan champions grew in confidence and made the most of their momentum to level and ultimately win it in the closing stages. Welcome back, Champions League!
Sep 16, 2025, 6:51 PM
Full time: PSV 1-3 USG
What an excellent performance by Sébastien Pocognoli’s men. Throughout the match they seemed able to absorb any pressure, remain calm when in possession, and now and again turn up the heat to inflict damage on the home side.
Great displays all round, with Anouar Ait El Hadj and Christian Burgess particularly impressive. An amazing start to the club’s UEFA Champions League career.

Half-time | Athletic 0-0 Arsenal
Arsenal have failed to score in Spain in the first half.
