Barcelona vs Porto UCL 2023-24 Highlights| Barcelona beat Port 2-1; Qualify for the round of 16 with one game to go

This is the first time FC Barcelona qualify for the round of 16 of UCL in last three seasons. In the last two seasons Xavi failed to take the team pass the group stage as a manager. There were doubts about him as a coach on the grandest stage of club football. But Barcelona had faith in him.

A brilliant comeback by the team to show the character, the passion and the hunger to go for the glory. Cancelo was just outstanding tonight with skill to go from defensive to offensive on the left side. Along with him it was Jaoo Felix who would be one of the most relieved men in that dressing room. A fast goal since his last 12 games would obviously give him the confidence for the next round.

Obviously still a lot of work to be done for Xavi and his team but for now on it's relief for them. It is the final whistle from the ref. Barcelona have done what they needed to do at their home. They qualify for the round of 16 with one game to go. This is the first time they have qualified for the round of 16 in last three seasons, a first under Xavi as a coach.

Chance for Porto and Teremi to put things back in a counter attack. However, he could only hit it straight into the hands of Peña.

Lamine Yamal comes in for Rapinha.

Gundogan with a delicious lob towards the Brazilian inside the box and Rapinha had time to jump and go for the bicycle. However, it was saved by Costa

Balde replaces Cancelo, who looks like a bit injured too.

Ferran Torres shoots wide a rebound ball punched away by Costa.

Barcelona nearly opened the door for Porto. Mehdi Teremi from the right created everything for Porto but, Iñaki Peña was finally abled to get hold on to the ball after few half clearneces by the defenders.

Ferran Torres replaces João Félix

Yellow card for Pepê for a foul on Cancelo, who was again running away with the ball on the left flank.

The defender on the left flank has been superb for Barcelona. Another chance crated by him. But, Lewandowski could not hold on to the ball.

João Mário is reaplced by Jorge Sánchez.

Another cross from Cancelo from the left. However, Lewandowski could not connect his header properly to net the ball.

Felix scores. His first goal since September. Cancelona with the cross from the left and Felix finds the net to give Barcelona the lead. If the scoreline stays like this, Xavi's men will qualify for the Round of 16, first time in last three season.

Barca defence was found open here in the counter attack. Teremi was in a shooting position for Barcelona but Araújo came from behind to rescue his team.

Great link up play between João Cancelo and João Félix sees a second chance narrowly miss the target for Barcelona.

Felix nearly had his moment of the match. A left footer shot straight into the bar.

The first half ends at 1-1. Barcelona have been great after conceeding the first goal. Porto could not settle in after the goal. Barcelona could have been 2-1 up with Rapinha and Felix missing few chances. Meanwhile, Porto was good too with Varela being on target on few occasions. Iñaki Peña has been great in between the sticks for the home team with three important saves already.

Alan Varela's left-footer was on target. Iñaki Peña was ready to make another jump to his left for another save in the match.

Costa nearly provided Barcelona with another chance. He miss passed the ball to Pedri, whose shot first was blocked. Rapinha then shoot ti wide in the rebound ball.

A lost ball from Pepê allowed Raphinha to run down the right and feed the ball through  to João Félix, who then found Cancelo on the left.

Brilliant start by Porot. Galeno with the buildup. His shot was first saved by Pena. The rebound ball found Pepê who did not miss to net the ball for the first goal of the match.

Brilliant play by Porto here. Galeno with the best chance of the match so far. Penia makes the save.

No goal for Teremi. He is found off-side here by inches. VAR disallowed the goal.

Porto's number nine is moving very smoothly here. Inside the box, he could not connect the shot properly. Although Araújo was there behind him, it could have been dangerous for Barcelona.

Another attack from Barcelona. Felix on the left received a ball via Pedri. Felix first tried to take the ball deep into box, but decided to shoot. The ball hits the side net.

Short corner from Barcelona and Frankie had the chance to lob the ball over the defenders to Araújo, tonight's captain for Barcelona. Araújo could not hold the ball properly on the right. Otherwise, it could have been a great chance for the home team.
