Football has been included in every Summer Olympic Games as a men's competition sport, except in 1896 and 1932. The Olympic football events will start before the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics 2024, due to the large number of matches to be played. The tournament will occur in seven major French stadiums from July 24 to August 9, 2024. Many young players and a few experienced ones will represent their nation and try to win the Gold Medal. Achraf Hakimi (Morocco/ Paris SG)

Morocco are one team to look out for in the 2024 Olympics. Achraf Hakimi is undoubtedly their best player who plays Club football in Paris. So it will be a sort of home tournament for the 25-year-old. Morocco will start their campaign under the leadership of Hakimi against the Euro 2024 Champion Spain. Hakimi had a terrific FIFA World Cup 2022 campaign with Morocco when they qualified for the semi-final, beating Portugal. So, Morocco is a good team but they will be without some of their star powers. So, the pressure will be upon the shoulders of Hakimi and he will be one of the players to watch out for.

Julian Alvarez (Argentina and Manchester City)

The 24-year-old Manchester City and Argentina forward Julian Alvarez  will come to the Olympics after lifting the Copa America 2024 title. Alvarez is a very consistent performer and his work-rate and finishing are excellent. The versatile forward is a key player for club and country. But there is no rest for him, as he's heading straight to Paris. Argentina have many talents but Julian will be the main man for La Albiceleste in the upcoming Paris Olympics.

Pau Cubarsi has joined the Spanish squad for the 2024 Paris Olympics. The Barcelona starboy will be excited to start for his nation and Spain are one of the favourites to win the Gold Medal. Cubarsi had a terrific 2023/24 season with Barcelona and even won Man of the Match awards in the Champions League. The 17-year-old has become one of the important players for Barcelona and will try to become the starter for Spain too.

RB Leipzig finished fourth in the 2023/24 Bundesliga season and lots of credit should go to the French talent Castello Lukeba. France are heading into the Paris Olympics under their legendary forward Thierry Henry. Henry has called in Lukeba and there is no doubt, the Leipzig defender will start games for France in the Paris Olympics. Chelsea are very interested in signing him and his performances may attract the London club more in the upcoming days.
