According to the latest football transfer news, Barcelona has put out an official statement of the sudden signing of right-back Dani Alves. The 38-year-old Brazilian is set to rejoin the La Liga side for the rest of the season.

Davi Alves was without a club, has agreed to rejoin Barca, and will reunite with his former teammate. And newly appointed manager Xavi Hernández when he joins the squad next week. but as per football transfer news, he will not be able to play in matches until January.

The Club’s official statement

“FC Barcelona and Dani Alves have reached an agreement in principle for the player to join the football first team for the remainder of the current season.

“The Brazilian will be joining training from next week but will not be able to play until January.

“The club will announce the full details at his official presentation as a new FC Barcelona player.”

Moments after the club’s announcement, Alves posted on Instagram alongside a picture of him kissing the club badge at the Camp Nou. “I knew within my heart and within my soul that this day would come,” Alves wrote. “See you soon with the same desire to help rebuild the best club in the world!”

Alves first joined Barcelona in 2008 from Seville, He became a part of Pep Guardiola’s record-breaking team who won the treble in his first season in charge of the club. Alves won 23 major trophies over eight years at Camp Nou.

But he left in 2016 to join Italian side Juventus and had small stints with Paris Saint-Germain and Sao Paulo.
