Marco Asensio joined Real Madrid nine years ago, as a 18-year-old from Mallorca. He was then loaned out to Espanyol during his first season in the top flight. He scored four goals and gave ten assists across 34 appearances. The 27-year-old made his Real Madrid debut in 2016 and has been a regular starter since then. Asensio featured in 285 games for Real Madrid and have scored 61 goals. There is some interesting football transfer news coming in from Fabrizio Romano. According to him, Asensio is set to complete details of his new chapter at Paris Saint-Germain in the next few days.

During his time at the Santiago Bernabeu, Asensio has won three UEFA Champions Leagues, four FIFA Club World Cups, three La Ligas, and three European Super Cups. President, Florentino Pérez once revealed that Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal played a crucial role in the transfer of Marco Asensio to the club. 

His contract, which he signed in 2017, is coming to an end. The 27-year-old will be a free agent this summer and according to Italian Journalist Fabrizio's football transfer news, French club Paris Saint Germain are very close to sign him. The Spaniard was between a contract extension and departure for a very long time. He eventually decided it was best for him to leave.
