In today's football transfer news we talk about Wolves's captain, Ruben Neves, who is now set to join Saudi Arabian club, Al Hilal and Former Leicester City manager, Brendon Rodgers is getting reappointed as new Celtic manager.

Ruben Neves To Al Hilal

Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C., famously known as Wolves, have agreed to sell their captain, Ruben Neves to Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal according to multiple reports.

The Portuguese midfielder had only 1 year left on his contract and he wanted to sign for Barcelona at the end of the season as they are very interested in him since January. However, Barca could not work out an acceptable offer for Neves and he has taken the option of becoming the latest marquee player to join the Saudi league from the Premier league.

Wolves sees this deal as an excellent piece of business because the club is in a difficult condition, financially and this transfer would bring in a lot of funs for Julen Lopetegui to strengthen his squad.

Neves has made 253 appearances for Wolves in all competitions, scoring 30 goals. He helped them win the Championship a year later than joining from Porto in 2017 and then to two consecutive 7th placed finishes in the Premier League.

It's fair to say that he has been central to their success in the past couple of years and his absence is gonna be felt by the team in the upcoming season.

Brendon Rodgers becomes new Celtic manager

In another Football Transfer News we have, Brendan Rodgers is set to return to Celtic to much of many Celtic fan's dismay, as reported by many journalists. He had won seven trophies in his first spell at Celtic before leaving the club to become Leicester City manager, which left the fans furious.

Celtic is set to back Rodgers in the transfer market as they want him to be successful in the Scottish Premiership and compete well in the Champions League.

He is going to replace Ange Postecoglou. The former manager has won consecutive league titles and a domestic treble last season before departing for Tottenham. With Rodgers set to replace the Aussie, he will inherit a strong side who knows how to win trophies and is going to build upon that.

This could be a nice opportunity for Rodgers after getting sacked at Leicester, a fresh start for him. If he does well he could well be seen by the Celtic folks as "the return of the prodigal son" and if he couldn't do a very good job, everyone is gonna remember this signing as "the reappointment of the shameless one".
