The Copa America 2024 is going to be held in the United States. Although it is a South American tournament, several North American teams are going to play there this time. Canada and Costa Rica have qualified for the Copa America through the playoffs. While Canada will play in 'A' group with Argentina, Costa Rica will fight with Brazil in 'D' group.
Canada beat Trinidad and Tobago 2-0 in Texas, USA on Saturday night. Their two goal scorers were Cyle Larin and Jacob Shaffelburg. In the next match at the same venue, Costa Rica bounced back and won 3-1 against Honduras. Orlando Galo equalized after falling behind Michaell Chirinos' goal. Then goals from Warren Madrigal and Jefferson Brenes sealed the win.
The Copa America 2024 is going to be screened in the United States on June 21 and will continue till July 15. A total of 16 teams will participate in this year's tournament. Canada will face current Copa champions Argentina in the opening match. The remaining two teams in Group A are Peru and Chile.

Brazil will enter the field in Group D on June 25 against Costa Rica. Colombia and Paraguay are also in this group. Group B includes Mexico, Ecuador, Venezuela and Jamaica. And C group includes hosts USA, Uruguay, Panama and Bolivia.
Copa America is basically the highest football tournament in the South American continent. However, this time the scope has been increased to include teams from North and Central America.
