Hyderabad FC vs Odisha FC ISL 2023-24: Mauricio scores a brace as The Kalinga Warriors thrash the Nizams by 3-0 to go top of the table

Hyderabad FC started with all their senior players except captain Joao Victor, who were looking very good for the first 25 minutes but couldn't keep up and the Juggernauts converted all the chances they got to win the Hyderabad FC vs Odisha FC match 3-0 away from home.

Diego Mauricio gave Odisha the lead in the 27th minute and it just the start before going into a rampage. Roy Krishna doubled the lead in the last minute before the end of the first half after continuously bombarding the Hyderabad defence. The result was sealed in the 75th minute when Mauricio fired the ball past Gurmeet.

Hyderabad played a good brand of football and passed the ball around with confidence. However, they were unable to create enough chances to score goals, keeping the shot on target only three times.

Makan Chothe and Sailo were the standout performers for the Nawabs, but it was not enough to cause problems against the Odisha players. Hyderabad continues to struggle at the bottom of the table with just four points to their name.

Hyderabad will next travel to Kolkata to take on Mohun Bagan Super Giant at the Salt Lake Stadium on Saturday, February 10. Odisha, having now moved to the top of the standings with 30 points to their name, will host Goa on Friday.
