ATK Mohun Bagan signed Subrata Paul from Hyderabad FC for the ISL 2021-22 season on a long loan deal. The Mariners confirmed the signing of the 35-year-old goalkeeper on Friday.
A familiar name Subrata Paul is one of the Indian players who have built up their reputation with their performances. He is the 'Spiderman of India', and always provides a reliable presence in the final line of the defence.
Subrata Paul represented the East Bengal squad during the 2007-2009 season. Then he went on to play for a number of top-tier Indian clubs and even for foreign clubs like Vestjaeland FC in Denmark. Paul's ISL career began with Mumbai City FC and made 95 appearances in the league as of now.
The former Indian National team goalkeeper is a versatile player and has a lot of experience in the Indian Super League. He played for Mumbai City FC, NorthEast United FC, Jamshedpur FC, and Hyderabad FC. He also made 3 appearances for India in the 2011 AFC Asian Cup. On top of that, The shot-stopper also won the Golden Glove award in the ISL 2017-18.
