Ebenezer Assifuah advanced through the ranks in Ghana, attracting the attention of many by turning in strong performances for both his club and Ghana's age division teams. The young Assifuah scored nine goals in 13 games for the Black Stars U20 team. In addition, he also won the Golden Boot in the 2013 U20 World Cup in Turkey.

Ebenezer Assifuah earned his first big move when he signed for Sion in Switzerland. The forward played 107 games, scoring 29 goals and dishing out 17 assists.

Ebenezer moved to France to continue his career in the Ligue 2 after leaving Switzerland. He joined Le Havre in 2016, and during his time there, he made 70 appearances, scoring 18 goals and providing three assists. The 29-year-old then moved to fellow league club Pau FC, where he had been for the past two seasons.

During his U20 days, Ebenezer Assifuah was one of Ghana's top talents, but despite a promising start, his career never really took off. However his Ligue 2 stats have been nothing short of impressive and Northeast United FC has a quality player on their hands.

Over the past few weeks, Northeast United has been finalising its international acquisitions for the upcoming campaign, with names like Jon Gaztanaga, as reported earlier, signing with the team.
