The Kochi-based club may test their bench against Shillong. Coach Ivan Vukomanovic will be without their star winger Rahul KP and experienced right-back Pritam Kotal. Rahul, Pritam, and striker Ishan Pandita are in Qatar for the AFC Asian Cup 2024.

Uruguayan midfielder Adrian Luna is unavailable after he sustained a knee surgery last month. However, Dimitrios Diamantakos and Kwame Peprah have delivered in the absence of some of the important players.

Dimantakos has scored seven goals and registered two assists to his name. He is in terrific form with five goals in his last five games. But all eyes will be on Jeakson Singh, who has started training regularly after a serious injury and may see some minutes soon in the Kalinga Super Cup.

Saurav Mandal, Sukham Meetei, and Bryce Miranda will hope to see some minutes as well against Shillong. Veteran goalkeeper Karanjit Singh is likely to guard the goal instead of Kerala's first-choice Sachin Suresh.

This will be a huge opportunity for Shillong Lajong as they will be gearing up to face teams in a higher division than them. Shillong are among the only four I-League clubs, including Sreenidi Deccan FC, Gokulam Kerala FC, and one of the playoff match winners between Rajasthan United FC and Inter Kashi.

Coach Nongbet will be keeping faith with much of the same selection that helped the team register a comfortable win against Namdhari. Hardy Nongbri could be dropped as he was replaced at half-time in the last match.

The Red Dragons had conceded three goals in consecutive league defeats against Aizawl (3-0) and Real Kashmir (3-1) before their morale-boosting win in Shillong before reaching Odisha.
