Kylian Mbappe named all-time XI including Ronaldo, Messi, Ronaldinho & Neymar

Kylian Mbappe has done some extraordinary things in his short time as a professional footballer. The Frenchman, 23, made his debut for Monaco in 2015. He has since scored over 200 professional goals and won countless trophies at the club level with Paris Saint-Germain.

He also played a pivotal role as France won the World Cup in 2018. If Kylian Mbappe continues to improve, he could well become one of the greatest footballers to have ever played the sport.

But who does the French superstar think are the sport's best ever players? In 2017, Kylian Mbappe named the greatest XI of players that he has seen play in an interview with Foot Mercato, per the Metro.

GK: Gianluigi Buffon

One of the greatest goalkeepers ever. Buffon is still going strong at the age of 44.

RB: Cafu

Brilliant in defence and electric going forward. A right-back like no other.

CB: Sergio Ramos

Mbappe has since gone on to play alongside Ramos, with the Spaniard joining PSG in 2020.

CB: Paolo Maldini

A centre-back that had it all. He played at the top level for 25 years.

LB: Roberto Carlos

Carlos was brilliant going forward. His free-kicks were quite extraordinary.

CM: Ronaldinho

Football's greatest entertainer. He possessed every trick in the book. A real joy to watch.

CM: Zinedine Zidane

Zidane is the only Frenchman to make it into Mbappe's side.

LW: Neymar

Mbappe and Neymar have spent a highly successful five years together at PSG.

RW: Lionel Messi

The team wouldn't be complete without Messi, would it?! The seven-time Ballon d'Or joined Mbappe at PSG in 2021.

ST: Cristiano Ronaldo

Ronaldo was Mbappe's hero growing up. The Portuguese legend has scored the most goals in football history.

ST: Ronaldo Nazario

Ronaldo's time at the top was brief due to struggles with injuries. But, at his peak, he is arguably the greatest player to have ever graced the sport.

Who is leading the 2024-25 European Golden Boot race? | sportzpoint.com

The European leagues are up and running and we have already witnessed some great encounters between the top European teams. The hunt to win the European Golden Boot is also taking shape for the 2024-25 season.

Some big names from the Top five European leagues are already in full swing and they are scoring loads of goals to clinch the coveted annual award for the highest goalscorer in Europe. However, some young and talented players have enlisted themselves in the charts as well; even from outside of the top five European leagues.

According to the coefficient rankings updated by UEFA on 7 November 2024, the top five European Leagues are the English Premier League, Serie A (Italy), LaLiga (Spain), Bundesliga (Germany), and French Ligue 1 respectively.

Sportzpoint brings you all the details about the leading goalscorers in the top five European leagues, details of the UEFA League ranking, and the leading goalscorers competing for the 2024-25 European Golden Boot.

The European Golden Boot Race

The Golden Boot is awarded by European Sports Media (ESM) which is a unified association of Football Magazine publications such as Marca, Kicker, La Gazzetta dello Sport, Frankfurter AZ, etc. They took over since 1996-97 season and started a new ranking system based on the position of the league for the respective players.

The UEFA coefficient ranking is considered a measure for weighting points, with the principle being to acknowledge players who score in leagues of higher quality according to rankings, which makes it tougher to find the back of the net.

The number of goals scored in the top five leagues of Europe are counted with a multiplier of two, while those from leagues ranked six to 21 receive a 1.5 multiplier, and goals from all other leagues are counted as one.

This is how the points system works.

Before looking at the players' list, here is the official UEFA ranking of league coefficients:

Declan Rice's second free-kick goal vs Real Madrid | sportzpoint.com

A perfect night for Arsenal. They are up and about from the word go. However, Real Madrid did show some glimpses of their best in the first half.

But in the second half, Arsenal dominated Real Madrid like a minnow team from smaller leagues.

Declan Rice, with two stunning free-kicks, has now become the first player to score multiple free-kicks in a single UCL knockout game.

Mikel Merino also scored a beautiful goal to give Arsenal the important cushion they were looking for.

Camavinga received a red during the fag end of the match and he will miss the second leg.

But is it all over? When the team is Real Madrid, the game is not over until it's over.

Arsenal will head to Berenbeau as favourites, but don't count out Real Madrid yet.

And, yes, Arsenal are still unbeaten against Real Madrid in UCL.
