8 wonderkids in football who are currently playing for Barcelona
Lamine Yamal - Spain
Lamine Yamal is pulling attraction from all over the world and it's for good reasons of course. He’s already making headlines in La Liga and UCL at just 16 years old for Barcelona and his skills are impressing the fan base. He has all the materials for becoming a world-class winger. Barcelona just have to use him properly as he is still too young to play every game of the season. The Spaniard is a La Masia graduate who made his international debut against Georgia and became the youngest player in Spain's history to make a debut and score a goal.
Pau Cubarsi - Spain
The Spanish centre-back, Pau Cubarsi is one of the most trending names on the internet at present. Xavi involved the 17-year-old in Barcelona’s 2023-24 pre-season games and was impressed with his skillsets. Cubarsi arrived at La Masia from Girona in 2018 as a U12 player. The 2023/24 season was a key moment in his career as he made his competitive debut with the first team and also played a pivotal role in Barcelona's qualification to the Quarter-Finals of the Champions League. He delivered a man-of-the-match performance in the second leg of the RO16 against Napoli and he will be in target of many top clubs in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Marc Guiu - Spain
Marc Guiu's senior team debut was just like a movie. He was 17-year-old at the time of his FC Barcelona debut and within 23 seconds scored a superb goal to win three crucial points. At 17 years, 291 days, Guiu became the youngest Barcelona player to score in his debut with the club. Guiu was in the La Masia for 10 years and continued to improve to be a starter of Barcelona.
During the under-17 Euros, Guiu scored four goals for Spain and became the joint top-scorer of the tournament alongside his Barca teammate Lamine Yamal. Marc has a long career in front of him and if he manages to improve consistently then he can become a world-class striker in the future.

He produced a man-of-the-match display against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League and there is always going on on the field whenever he is present.
The La Masia graduate scored a fantastic goal for the Blaugranas against their fierce rival Real Madrid in the 2023/24 pre-season and since then he has been one of the regulars. He has already scored five goals this season in all competitions and at the age of only 20 and that too from a midfielder is something to cheer about.
Alejandro Balde - Spain
Barcelona have gotten a replacement for Jordi Alba and it's none other than Alejandro Balde. Some will argue that it is too early to declare him as Alba's successor but he has that superstar mentality and can become a top left-back for his national side and Barcelona. He is too young and will have to learn many things besides just raw talent but if Barcelona manages to get someone helpful with the youth just like Xavi, Balde can become unstoppable. Balde produced seven goal contributions from left-back last season. He is not playing his best football right now but the Barcelona fans will be hoping to see him back in full potential.
Balde made his debut for the first team towards the end of the 2021/22 season and Xavi slowly integrated him in the place of veteran Jordi Alba. Balde made his debut for the Spanish national side in the World Cup in Qatar in 2022 and played four matches in the tournament.

Hector Fort can play as a centre-half or a right-back. He arrived at La Masia in the 2013/14 season from PB Anguera and progressed consistently, before making his debut with the first team in the 2023/24 season. He is now getting regular game time and proving to be a brilliant player for the side. He made his debut in the away game against Royal Antwerp. Xavi mainly used him as a right-back, but he also played left-back in the Copa del Rey quarterfinal. Fort also played in the U17 World Cup in the 2023/24 season and is a key member of the Spanish side.
Vitor Roque - Brazil
The 19-year-old Brazilian has already scored 2 goals in the La Liga 2023-24 after joining FC Barcelona in winter. He scored his first Barcelona goal against Osasuna in his sixth appearance for the club. Vitor Roque, the tiger from Athletico Paranaense has everything to become the next world-class striker of Barcelona and Brazil. Vitor will be up against his national teammate Endrick when the latter joins Real Madrid in the upcoming summer window.
