In the latest ISL transfer news, Bengaluru FC has signed Roy Krishna as a replacement for departing Brazilian striker Cleiton Silva.

Fijian star set to reunite with his former teammates Prabir Das and Jayesh Rane at Bengaluru FC.

According to many media reports, he has signed a one-year deal with Bengaluru FC with an option to extend further.

Roy Krishna while leaving his former club ATKMB stated that he hasn't left the club on best terms.

According to media speculations,Juan Ferrando the head coach of ATKMB has told the Fijian international that he doesn't fit well in his style of play.

Even former ATKMB player Prabir Das complained that the club didn't treat him gently. He was very good friends with Jayesh Rane and Prabir Das.

These two players are said to be catalysts for the signing of former ISL golden boot winner.

Football fans in India need no introduction about Roy Krishna. Fijian star broke the internet in 2019 after the announcement was made of his arrival to ISL club ATK.

He was the first top foreigner from A-league to grace Indian soil.

In his very first season itself, he lived up to the hype. He helped his team ATK to win their record third ISL title. In the title-winning season of 2019, Krishna registered 15 goals and 6 assists in 21 games.

Even in the next season for merged ATKMB he scored 14 goals and provided 8 assists in 23 games. But that season he failed to clinch the trophy losing to Mumbai City in the finals.

Last season has been tough for 34-year-old Fijian international. He didn't play many games owing to injury concerns and star-studded ATKMB failed to qualify for playoffs as well.

With the change of the coach in the middle of the season, Things have been pretty shaky in the Mariner's base.

ATKMB has announced that the club has parted ways with Roy Krishna last month. Many ISL and A-League clubs were keen to get the signature of the star footballer.

Kerala Blasters and Northeast United were other clubs in the race to sign Fijian footballer.

But BFC was very clear about signing Roy Krishna from the first day itself and they agreed to all the demands of the player as well.

The contract was officially signed between Bengaluru FC and Roy Krishna last night. The club will announce the signing very soon.

Will Roy Krishna be successful under the new Head coach Simon Grayson only time will tell.
