Christian Eriksen has communicated to United that he wants to play for the Old Trafford club on a three-year deal. Eriksen previously represented Tottenham Hotspur between 2013 and 2020. The 30-year-old's short-term contract at Brentford ended last month.

The Danish midfielder is reported to have a verbal agreement with United and will officially complete his move to Old Trafford after a medical.
It has been quite a year for Eriksen. The 30-year-old collapsed in Denmark 's opening game of the European Championships against Finland in Copenhagen last June.

The United manager, who will travel to Thailand with his squad on Friday for the start of the club's pre-season tour, is desperate to change the landscape of his side's midfield options this summer and Eriksen is looking as though he could be his first new addition in that area of the team. The Manchester Evening News understands that United are now working hard to get a deal wrapped up and sign him on a three-year contract.
The 30-year-old was offered a new deal by Brentford, who snapped him up on a short-term contract back in January, but he failed to commit his future to the Bees.
