Maurizio Sarri has almost a fully-fit squad to start with, only Spanish centre-back Patric is still a doubt with a shoulder problem. Mario Gila and Alessio Romagnoli are set to start in the central defensive positions, with Adam Marusic and Elseid Hysaj starting in the full-back roles.

Sarri can also start loanee Juventus midfielder Nicolo Rovella ahead of Danilo Cataldi and Matias Vecino, with the trio contending for one position out of the three available. Davide Renzetti is suspended for this clash.

Matteo Guendouzi and Luis Alberto are set to start with Cataldi in that holding midfield role. Skipper Ciro Immobile will continue to lead the front line for the Italian side. Gustav Isaksen will start on the right wing, while Brazilian Felipe Anderson will play on the left.

Bayern have arrived without the injured Serge Gnabry, Kingsley Coman, Daniel Peretz, Alphonso Davies, Bouna Sarr, Konrad Laimer and Tarek Buchmann. There are also rumours of some internal issues in the background between Matthijs de Ligt and Tuchel, and the centre-back hasn't been selected for the clash.

Dayot Upamecano and Kim Min-jae are set to begin the game in the central positions, with Noussair Mazraoui and Raphael Guerreiro playing the full-back roles.

Tuchel will rely on Thomas Muller's experience in the advanced midfield role, with Leroy Sane and Jamal Musiala operating from wide areas. Harry Kane would certainly aim to improve his stats by leading the line against Lazio.
