Barcelona's Robert Lewandowski (21 goals) is on the top of the La Liga Golden Boot table with a 4-goal advantage over Benzema. Karim Benzema (17 goals), the winner of the last season's Golden Boot, is right behind him in the table. He has also played a lesser amount of games than Lewandowski. Barcelona have already secured the La Liga 2022/23 title while Real are in the 2nd position. Barcelona defeated Espanyol by 4-2 in the 34th gameweek.
There are several other contenders, though, for a leading marksman prize. Joselu (Espanyol) has scored 15 goals till now. He also scored against Barcelona in their recent 2-4 defeat at home. Enes Ünal from Getafe is in the fourth position with 14 goals. Both teams are in the relegation battle. Morata & Griezmann share the 5th position with 13 goals alongside Castellanos & Muriqi. Castellanos scored 4 against Real Madrid which helped him to climb into the table.
Girona is in the 7th position with 47 points. They have played superbly this season under Miguel Ángel Sánchez Muñoz. They drew against Sociedad in the last game and Castellanos is their frontman. The Argentine has come in for a loan spell and he is doing wonders for them. Girona still have an outside chance to finish in the top 6 with only 4 points behind of Betis.
On the other side, Atletico Madrid are in the 3rd position, with huge credits to Griezmann & Morata. They have performed brilliantly after their Champions League exit.
