Premier League Record: Salah equals Jamie Vardy's record of scoring or assisting in 15 consecutive Premier League matches

Mohamed Salah equaled another premier league record after he scored the 2nd goal in their 3-1 victory over Newcastle United. 

Newcastle United however took the lead just 7 minutes into the game. As the former red Jonjo Shelvey belted in a ranged shot after the poor clearance from Thiago fell onto his path.

However, Jota got the equalizing goal around the 21-minute, following the rebound after his header effort was blocked by Dubravka. Similarly, It didn't take Liverpool long enough to take the lead. As Mohamed Salah picked up the pieces after Mané's attempt was again blocked by the goalkeeper. With that goal, Salah now has scored his 15th goal this season 

Liverpool completed their record 2000th club win in style. As Trent Alexander-Arnold hammered in an absolute unstoppable screamer from distance to the top left corner.

Mohamed Salah now has 24 Premier League goal involvements this season (15 goals, nine assists) equalling Jamie Vardy. In Premier League record history only Alan Shearer in 1994-95 has registered more.

Salah is now in second place behind Matt Le-Tissier who holds the record with 23 consecutive involvements between 1994 and 2000.

Liverpool is currently sitting at 2nd with just a point of current leaders Manchester City and maintain a 3 point gap with 3rd placed Chelsea.
