An investigation against Christophe Galtier was launched in April. Galtier made racist and Islamophobic remarks about players during his tenure at Nice in the 2021-22 season. He has been proven guilty and got taken into police custody on Friday. Cristophe is all set to be sacked by PSG after a largely underwhelming season. Galtier is still under contract at PSG and denied all the accusations.

RMC Sport and other French media published reports of a leaked email from former Nice director of football Julien Fournier to the club’s owners. It was clearly visible that he accused Galtier of saying there were too many Black and Muslim players in the squad.

According to Christophe Galtier, he was “stunned to learn of the insulting and defamatory” report. He also said that he would take unspecified legal actions.
