Spain would be seeking revenge against Scotland when they meet at Sevilla. Luis de la Fuente suffered an unexpected defeat in just his second game in charge. Although, Spain have responded well by putting together a four-game winning streak across two different competitions with lifting their first-ever UEFA Nations League trophy in the process.
They were able to defeat the current European Champions, Italy 2-1 in the semi finals which was followed by a penalty-shootout victory over Croatia in the final, and have also recorded two big wins against Georgia and Cyprus in the Euro 2024 Qualifiers.
A win on Thursday would move Spain within three points of Scotland heading into their final three qualification fixtures. Whereas Scotland are on the verge of qualifying for the Euros in dominating fashion for the second successive time.
Steve Clarke's men will be looking to run back their win against Spain seven months ago. They sit comfortably at the top of the table with victories against Norway, Georgia and Cyprus. Scotland managed to turn things around against the Norwegian team in the final minutes of the match and won it 2-1. And they scored five goals each in their match against Georgia and Cyprus which showed their attacking prowess in the team.
Scotland are on an amazing run of form as they're unbeaten in their last nine competitive matches with victories in eight of them. They need a draw to qualify for Euro 2024 in Germany and just need six points in three matches to secure top spot in Group A.
