Streaming details of the top five football leagues in the world

Premier League

The English Premier League is the best football league in the entire world and there is no doubt about that. There are 20 teams in the EPL and they each play the other twice - at home and away. Each club plays 38 matches. The team with the most points on the table at the end of the season lifts the trophy. Manchester United are the most successful club with 20 trophies.

The Premier League matches are telecast live on the Star Sports Select HD 1 TV channel in India. The Live streaming of the Premier League is available on Disney+Hotstar but the service is not free and requires a subscription.

Bundesliga

The Bundesliga is the second-best football league in the world. 18 teams in the German top division league play each other twice to compete for the title - at home and away. Each club plays 34 matches. The team with the most points on the table at the end of the season lifts the trophy. Bayern Munich are the most successful club with 32 trophies.

The Bundesliga matches are telecast live on the Sony Sports Ten 2 and Sony Sports Ten 2 HD TV channels in India. The Live streaming of the Bundesliga is available on the SonyLIV app, website, and Jio TV in India.

La Liga

La Liga is the third-best football league in the world. Many would argue it's the second-best but except for Real Madrid, the other clubs of Spain have mostly struggled in the Champions League matches in the last few years. There are 20 teams in the La Liga and they each play the other twice - at home and away. Just like the Premier League, each club plays 38 matches and the team with the most points on the table at the end of the season lifts the coveted trophy.

The Indian fans can enjoy the live streaming of all La Liga 2024-25 matches on JioTV and JioCinema application and website. All the matches will also be live telecast on Sports 18 channels on TV.

Serie A

Serie A comes fourth on this list but the quality of football has once again improved a lot. But they still lack quality in terms of production and some other things which are non-football associated. The status of the top division Italian league may have fallen a little compared to La Liga and the Premier League. But it remains one of the most competitive leagues in the world. The number of teams and the basic rules of Serie A are the same as the Premier League and La Liga. The most successful club is Juventus with 36 titles, followed by Inter Milan with 20, and AC Milan with 19 titles.

No TV broadcast details have been announced yet for the latest season of Serie A.

Ligue 1

Ligue 1 comes fifth on this list. The top-tier French football league lacks quality in comparison to the top four leagues. After Mbappe's departure, it will lose its eyes. After Messi's arrival, many Argentine and Barcelona fans started to see Ligue 1 but he left France in the 2023-24 season which pulled out the fans rapidly. Now, Mbappe has decided to join Real Madrid and the footballing fans will surely lose their interest in watching the Ligue 1.

Due to no official broadcast in India, Ligue 1 2024-25 will not be telecasted live on the TV sets in India.
