Switzerland vs Norway FIFA Women's World Cup 2023: Thalamann's brilliant saves helped the Swiss to get a draw against Norway

Norway are still waiting for their first win in FIFA Women's World Cup 2023 after being restricted to a 0-0 draw by Switzerland at the Waikato Stadium. After losing to New Zealand in their opening game, the Norwegians were looking to bounce back but could find no way past the Swiss goalkeeper Gaelle Thalmann. Norway lost Ada Hegerberg just before kick-off and her replacement Sophie Roman Haug stopped by Thalmann midway through the first half following her close-range header. On the other side, Switzerland would be happy as they are in the top with 4 points and one match in hand.

Reports are saying, Carolina Graham Hansen won't be in the starting squad for today's match. She had a strong season with Barcelona, being a key part of their Women's Champions League win.

There was an acceleration just before kick-off that made me feel something. It made me not want to risk anything. I wish I could have contributed, but I think the girls worked hard. We're missing the last piece that we need and deserved.
