Manchester City started their campaign with three straight victories and now they are at the top of the table with 9 points from three games. Erling Haaland scored his eighth Premier League hat-trick and that was enough for the defending champions to collect the three points away from home.
West Ham started on a positive note but City grew into the game and Haaland provided the lead inside the first 11 minutes of the game. The Hammers came right back into the game through Ruben Dias' open goal but Haaland made it 2-1 in no time. The defending champions finished the first half on a positive note.
West Ham played better football in the second half and Haaland got almost no chance until he finally completed his hat-trick in the 82nd minute. The Norwegian once again proved why he is one of the scariest strikers of this generation.
