India has been placed in Pool C along with Germany, Belgium and Canada.

Hockey India on Thursday announced the Indian Junior Women's Hockey Team for the much-awaited FIH Hockey Junior World Cup 2023 to be held in Santiago, Chile from 29 November to 10 December 2023.

India has been placed in Pool C along with Germany, Belgium and Canada. They will start its FIH Hockey Junior World Cup 2023 campaign against Canada on November 29. After this, India will face Germany on 30 November and Belgium on 2 December.

Meanwhile, the other teams in the field are Netherlands, South Africa, Australia and Chile in Pool A while Argentina, Spain, Zimbabwe and Korea are in Pool B. Pool D consists of England, USA, New Zealand and Japan.

The quarter-finals of the FIH Hockey Junior World Cup 2023 are scheduled for 6 December and the semi-finals for 8 December. The final will be played on 10 December.

Earlier, in the last edition, India had missed the bronze medal by a narrow margin and finished fourth. For the FIH Hockey Junior World Cup 2023, the Indian women's junior hockey team will be captained by Preeti and vice-captain Rutuja Dadaso Pisal.

"We have an incredible talent pool, it wasn't easy to select the final squad, but I believe we have chosen the best one for the World Cup and these players have worked very hard in the past couple of months leading up to the event. The players are excited, they have performed really well in the recent past and it's a wonderful opportunity for them to showcase their talent on the prestigious platform."
