Hockey Men's Asian Championship 2021 Schedule and fixture

Hockey Men's Asian Championship 2021 is the 6th edition of the hockey tournament. Dhaka, Bangladesh is hosting this tournament from December 14, 2021. The Indian hockey men's team won a bronze medal in the Tokyo Olympics and the hockey men's Asian Champions 2021 will be their first tournament since the Olympics.

6 teams from 6 Asian countries will be competing against each other in this format and the top 4 teams will be selected for the semi-finals. India, Pakistan, Japan, South Korea, and Bangladesh will be competing this year at the Maulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium.

Malaysia was supposed to be the sixth country but unfortunately, they had to come out of the tournament. Malaysia won the bronze medal in all the previous 5 editions of the tournament but sadly, 1 Malaysian Hockey player contracted covid-19. Therefore the entire Malaysian team had to pull out of the tournament.

India and Pakistan are the defending champions and also the most successful teams. Both these neighboring countries won the title thrice. Manpreet Singh will lead the Indian hockey team and Harmanpreet Singh will be the vice-captain.
