Indian Women's Hockey Team's dismissal run continued as they went down 0-2 to Germany, their third straight defeat in the ongoing tour at Russelsheim on Wednesday.

Earlier, the Indian women's hockey team lost 3-2 to China in Limburg last week. After that, they went down 4-1 against Germany on Tuesday. The Germany tour of India was the preparation for the upcoming Asian Games.
While the two teams remained in a 0-0 stalemate until the third quarter, intense action unfolded in the fourth quarter when world No. 4 Germany unleashed a lethal attack. In the third and final match of the tour, the Indian team was able to hold Germany to a goalless draw till the third quarter. The fourth quarter, however, saw a close contest in which Germany took an aggressive approach.
Meanwhile, Nike Lorenz (52nd minute) and Charlotte Stapenhorst (54th minute) scored the goals for the hosts in the third and final match of the Indian team's tour of Germany. While India got two penalty corners in its last quarter but failed to convert them into goals. However, Germany faced no such hindrance as they converted swiftly from the third PC they created.

Lorenz gave Germany the lead by scoring on Germany's third penalty corner. He scored two goals in the first match played against India on Tuesday. After that, Stapenhorst scored a field goal to ensure Germany's victory. The Indian women's hockey team now has to tour Spain. They will participate in the tournament organized to mark the completion of 100 years of the Spanish Hockey Federation.
