Asian Games champion Jyothi Surekha Vennam's stunning performance and girt helped her bag a hat-trick of gold medals as she led India's dominance at the ongoing Archery World Cup Stage 1 in Shanghai on Saturday. Jyothi defeated top-seeded Andrea Becerra of Mexico to complete the hat trick for India.

Jyothi also won three Gold medals at the Hangzhou Asian Games 2023 where she won gold medals in the individual, women's team and mixed team events.
Indian Women's team of Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Aditi Swami, and Parneet Kaur won the gold medal in the women's event, while Abhishek Verma, Priyansh, and Prathamesh Fuge won the men's. The mixed team of Jyothi and Abhishek Verma also won a gold medal.

Deepika Kumari in the final
The Indian recurve and compound mixed teams advanced to the medal matches at the Archery World Cup as well. On the other hand, former world number Deepika Kumari reached the semifinals of the individual event. She went past number six qualifier Jeon Hunyoung Jeon in the quarterfinals.
