India have already grabbed 25 medals in Paris Paralympic Games 2024 surpasing their previous best of 19 medals in Tokyo.
With 5 Gold medals, India are currently placed at 16th number in medal tally.
What happend on Day 8?
Kapil Parmar won historic bronze medal in Judo and became the first Indian to win any Paralympic medal in Judo. He defeated World No. 2 Elielton de Oliveira by Ippon.
What is expected on Day 9?
With six Indian para athletes already reaching the finals of their respective events, India can hope to reach 30 medals on Day 9. Medals from Javelin and Shot put are expected on Day 9 as the action set to start from 1.30 pm today.

Praveen Kumar cleared 2.08m and broke the Asian Record to win gold in the men’s high jump T64 final. This is his second straight Paralympic medal. Praveen won silver medal at the Tokyo Paralympics in 2021.
Praveen has taken India's medal tally to 26. India has now won six gold medals in Paris, which is the country's best-ever tally at any Paralympics.
