After the conclusion of the Paris Olympics 2024, the French capital will now host the Paris Paralympics 2024 from August 28 to September 8. India will be hoping for their biggest-ever medal haul from the competition this year as they are set to field their largest-ever contingent for the Paralympics, with 84 athletes competing in 12 sports.
Tokyo Paralympics 2020 was India's most successful Paralympic Games, with the country winning a total of 19 medals including five gold, eight silver, and six bronze.

India will participate in three new sports
India will also participate in three new sports - Para Cycling, Para Rowing, and Blind Judo in Paris Paralympics 2024. Arshad Shaikh will participate in the Men's C2 Para Cycling event, while Jyoti Gaderia will participate in the Women's C2 event. Kapil Parmar will compete in the men's 60 kg J1 event in Blind Judo and will be accompanied by Kokila, who will compete in the women's 48 kg J2 category. Anita and K. Narayan will represent India in PR3 mixed doubles sculls in para-rowing.
When will the Paris Paralympics 2024 be played?
Paris Paralympics will start from 29 August, which will run till 8 September. Whose opening ceremony will be held on 28th August. While there were fewer games at the Tokyo Paralympic Games, which ran for 12 days, the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games will take place over just 11 days, suggesting a larger crowd at the event.
Where will Paris Paralympics 2024 take place?
The Paris Paralympics will take place around the city of Paris. There will be 22 sporting disciplines which will be held in 18 different venues. Over 4,400 athletes will take part in 549 events over a period of 11 days at Paris.
Where and how to watch live telecasts in India?
There has been no official confirmation on the Indian broadcaster of Paris Paralympics 2024.
The live telecast of the Paris Paralympics 2024 can be watched through the DD Sports channel for free. Additionally, the live action will be seen through the Paralympic YouTube channel or through the International Paralympic Committee website. All para-sports will be broadcast live for the first time as 300 hours of coverage are expected to be televised.

Paralympic opening and closing ceremonies
As was the case at the Olympics, the opening ceremony for the Paralympics will not take place in a stadium but will take in some of Paris’ most famous landmarks including the Eiffel Tower, Place de la Concorde, and the Trocadéro.
