At Tokyo Olympics, Martaโs Brazil faced China in their first match of the Olympics. Marta created the Olympic record after scoring her first goal at the Miyagi Stadium in Rifu. She scored her first in the 9th minute of the game with a help of rebound.
Later she netted the ball in the 74th minute with diving finish in the box. Martaโs brace and Olympic record helped Brazil thrash 5-0 in the match. Pele recognized Martaโs efforts and congratulated him for the unique Olympic record.
