After an extra year of waiting, the Olympics 2020, Tokyo are finally here in 2021. Over 17 days of the Games, plus two additional days of competition before the day of the Opening Ceremony โ€“ the worldโ€™s best athletes will get to show off the results of their last five years of hard training.

Both football and softball take a back seat for a day as the competition begins in rowing and archery. The Opening Ceremony takes pride of place in the evening.

Day 1 of the Games will witness very little sporting action, with only two sports Archery and Rowing. However, India has not sent any players for the Rowing event. On the contrary, India has sent a four-member archery team to the Games. The country has very high hopes from both husband Atanu Das and wife Deepika Kumari. The other members of the men team include the 25-year-old Pravin Jadhav from Maharashtra and the 37-year-old ever experienced Tarundeep Rai from Sikkim.
