At the same time, Rudrankksh Balasaheb Patilย andย Narmada Nithin finished third to clinch the 10m air rifle mixed team bronze. With this, Indiaโ€™s medal tally in the ISSF Pistol/Rifle World Cup has gone up to four with one gold, one silver, and two bronze medals.

Varun had also won an individual ISSF Pistol/Rifle World Cup bronze medal in air pistol on Wednesday. He teamed up with Rhythm Sangwan to give a tough fight over Qian Wei and Jinyao Liu of China. But eventually, they lost 11-17 in the air pistol mixed team gold medal round. Earlier, in the qualification round, Varun (293 points) and Rhythm (288 points) finished second. They scored a total of 581 points to make the cut for the gold medal match.

On the other hand, Rudrankksh and R Narmada could not create the same magic on home soil. They had to settle for a bronze medal. In the bronze medal match, the Indian pair defeated Chinaโ€™s Qiongyue Zhang and Haonan Yu 16-8. The gold went to Chinaโ€™s Yuting Huang and Lihao Sheng while Hungaryโ€™s Eszter Denes and Istvan Peni took the silver. Earlier, in the 10m air pistol mixed team qualification round Rudrankksh and Narmada claimed the third spot. They scored 632 points to seal a spot in the bronze medal match.

However, the other Indian team of Divya Thadigol and Sarabjot Singh missed the bronze medal by one point. They finished fifth with a score of 574. At the same time, Hriday Hazarika and Tilottama Sen finished ninth in the ISSF Pistol/Rifle World Cup.

Meanwhile, on Friday, five Indian menโ€™s shooters, Divyansh Singh Panwar, Rudrankksh Balasaheb Patil, Arjun Babuta, Hriday Hazarika, and Shahu Tushar Mane will be in action in the 10m air rifle event of the ISSF Pistol/Rifle World Cup. While Ramita, Nancy, Tilottama Sen, Narmada Nithin, and Elavenil Valarivan will be in action in the womenโ€™s 10m air rifle event.
