India's Tilottama Sen won the silver medal in the women's 10 meter air rifle event at the Asian Shooting Championship 2023 in Changwon, Korea on Friday. 15-year-old Sen won the silver by scoring a total of 252.3 points. With this effort she has also achieved the quota for Paris Olympics 2024.

Tilottama missed the gold medal by a narrow margin. Korea's Eunji Kwon scored 252, won gold with 4 points. While Ramita Jindal of India got the bronze medal.

On the other hand, Arjun Babuta also earned Paris Olympic quota place by clinching silver medal in the men's 10m air rifle event of Asian Shooting Championship. The 24-year-old Babuta also helped the team which included Divyansh Singh Panwar and Hriday Hazarika to clinch the gold medal with an aggregate score of 1892.4.

Meanwhile, Indian shooters have secured seven quota places in rifle, two in shotgun and one in pistol. Rudrankksh Patil has earlier achieved Olympic quota in 10 meter air rifle. A country can get a maximum of two quota places in an event. This is India's third quota in the Asian Shooting Championship so far. In total, India has won a total of 10 quotas.

Mehuli Ghosh won the first quota place in the event with a bronze medal at the 2023 World Championships. Asian Games medallist Ramita won the bronze medal as she shot 230.6 in the final. Earlier in the day, she finished seventh in the qualification round with 632.3 excluding the RPOs.

Tilottama, Ramita, and Shriyanka Sadangi won the bronze medal in the team event with a total score of 1886.2 behind China and Singapore. Elavenil Valarivan (631.5) and Nancy (630.3) finished the qualification event third and seventh. They were only playing for the Ranking Points.
