Indian shooters won three medals in the ongoing Asian Shooting Championship in Korea. The men's skeet team of Anant Jeet Singh Naruka, Gurjoat Khangura and Angad Vir Singh Bajwa won the gold. While the pair of Sarabjot Singh and Surbhi Rao won silver in 10 meter air pistol. In the junior category, the pair of Shubham Bisla and Sainyam won the bronze medal in 10 meter air pistol mixed team event.

The Indian trio of Anant, Gurjoat and Angad scored 358, leaving Korea behind by one point in the Asian Shooting Championship. Korea's team won silver with 357 points and Kazakhstan's team stood third.
Meanwhile, Anant and Gurjoat also succeeded in making their place in the final of men's singles. Anant stood fourth and Gurjoat stood sixth. Sarabjot Singh, who got the first quota in air pistol, along with Surbhi Rao won silver in the 10 meter pistol mixed event of the Asian Shooting Championship. They scored 581 in the qualification round.
Four teams had 581 points and this included two Chinese teams. According to the rules of Asian Shooting Championship, only one team from a country can play in the final. In such a situation the Indian pair got a chance to play the final. In the match for gold, Sarabjot Singh and Surbhi Rao had to face defeat by Chinese pair 4-16. The Indian pair had to be satisfied with silver.

Meanwhile, in the junior category, India's pair of Shubham Bisla and Sainyam won the bronze medal in the 10 meter air pistol mixed event. They defeated Kazakhstan's pair 16-10 in the bronze medal event.
The Asian Shooting Championships 2023 is a qualifying event for the Paris 2024 Olympics. A total of 24 Olympic quotas are on offer with the top two finishers (one per country) in each of the 12 Olympic shooting events securing a spot for their national teams.
